Thames Valley Central Area

There is just one word I can think of to describe the Central Area parade today - awesome!

We had over 70 smart, confident, in step cadets on parade together with a strong, supportive staff team that truly deserved the many congratulatory comments I heard from many people including Station Commander of RAF Benson, Wallingord Town Mayor and Councillors, the Vicar, Parents and members of the public.

A big thanks to you all for leading the efforts at your end - please thank your staff and cadets for making the day such a success. To close off a town centre and parade the number of cadets we did to the high standard that was witnessed today shows great skill and teamwork. Thank you to everyone who took part whether on parade or in a supporting role.

I also thank the Wing Exec Committee for their financial support and for their attendance of David Holman and Roger Green on the day . Also a big thank you to Flt Lt Rogers for his photographic efforts and Flt Lt Andrews for his logistics support - as ever it is a pleasure to welcome members of TDSU to our events. Perhaps I also ought to thank the Vicar for his work with higher authorities in arranging the break in the weather and the sunny conditions!

Finally, I will upload the photographs from today s that you can download them in the next few days.

We should all be very proud of our achievements today - thank you.
